BASSETERRE St. Kitts, January 7th, 2015– In the spirit of Christmas and assisting those in need, on December 19, 2014 the thirteen member Management Team of the Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies spent the day driving around St. Kitts and Nevis, in one of the company’s Kantours buses that was outfitted in Christmas decorations, visiting the homes of eight families on St Kitts and Nevis. Each family was presented with a Gift Certificate valued at $270.00 for the purchase of grocery items, including ham and turkey, to assist with feeding their large families on Christmas Day. Later in the week, at the company’s head office, a ninth gift certificate was presented to a deserving individual. The recipients of the gift certificates included foster parents caring for children in need, as well as families caring for members with disabilities and mental challenges.
The Management Team experienced firsthand the joy of giving and each member was elated to be part of the opportunity to spread Christmas cheer to these deserving families. The experience served to underscore the saying that it is better to give than receive.
Since 2013 each year just before Christmas the Management Team of the Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies has used its December management meeting as an opportunity to give of their time and the company’s financial resources to assist citizens of the Federation who are in need or who find themselves in challenging circumstances, as well as to spread Christmas cheer to those persons.
