Deangelle Berridge Sentenced Fifteen Years For Manslaughter

On November 7, 2024, Deangelle Berridge of Saddlers Village, St. Kitts, was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for manslaughter due to provocation. This sentence follows an incident that resulted in the death of Alisha Dunrod from Sprott Street, St. Kitts, on October 3, 2022.

Initially charged with murder, Ms Berridge pleaded guilty to the manslaughter charge on March 22, 2024. Time served while on remand will be counted towards her sentence, and she will be eligible for one-third of early remission for good behaviour. The sentence was delivered by His Lordship Justice Iain Morley KC at the High Court in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
