The much anticipated Bank of Nevis inter high schools championships, was held over the last weekend, at the Nevis international stadium, aka the MONDO track.
After an impressive march through Charlestown and an opening ceremony on Friday 15th March, the three competing schools, took to the track on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March.
It was obvious that the three schools, Charlestown Secondary; Gingerland Secondary and the Nevis International Secondary, turned up with their top athletes, as the huge crowd on both days, were thrilled with the many events.
Over the two days, the athletes competed in such events as the javelin; the shot put; high jump; long jump; 100; 200; 400; 800; 1500; 4×100 and 4×400 meters.
