The New Vision team emerged as champions of the second division 35 overs cricket competition, which was hosted by the Nevis Cricket Association. In the grand finals, held on Saturday, April 27th at the ET Willet Park, the New Vision team faced off against the Youths of Nevis.
The New Vision team displayed an impressive batting performance, scoring a total of 246 runs from their allotted 30 overs. Ajani Didder scored 49 runs, while Tyrese Jeffers and Tyri Jeffers scored 39 and 37 runs respectively. Jevon Manners scored 31 runs, while Kimani Nisbett scored 27 runs, contributing to their team’s formidable total.
On the other hand, the Youths of Nevis had a tough time throughout their innings and were eventually bowled out for a meager 109 runs. Anan Bhim was their highest scorer, with 33 runs, followed by Leshawn Weekes with 20 runs. Sharma and Bickarmerjet took two wickets each for the New Vision team.
Pemberton was the star performer for the New Vision team, taking four wickets for just eight runs, while Demora Prentice and Peter Charles took two wickets each.
In the end, the New Vision team won the match by a convincing margin of 137 runs, securing the coveted trophy for their team.
