Cricket : Nevis Wins Over Antigua in Under 19 Tournament

The Leeward Islands Under-19 Cricket Tournament commenced in St. Kitts on Tuesday, April 15th.

At Warner Park, Nevis faced off against Antigua & Barbuda. Nevis batted first and scored 176 runs, thanks to strong performances from Captain Jevon Manners, who made 50 runs, and Carlton Pluck, who contributed 41 runs.

When Antigua & Barbuda batted, they struggled significantly, with spin bowlers Pemberton and Wilkinson each taking 3 wickets. As a result, Antigua & Barbuda was bowled out for just 100 runs, giving Nevis a comfortable victory by 76 runs.

In the other match played at Conaree, St. Kitts took on St. Maarten. St. Kitts batted first, scoring 222 runs for 8 wickets. In response, St. Maarten was all out for 97 runs, with Bergan achieving impressive bowling figures of 5 wickets for just 12 runs.
