The Leeward Islands Masters’ Cricket Association’s executive, met in a zoom meeting session, on the evening of Monday 28th February 2022.
Consideration was given to the hosting of the annual Leeward Islands Masters’ Cricket tournament, during the Whit weekend, but after much deliberation, a date was finalized which would allow teams to better prepare, especially as regards issues pertaining to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
The tournament will now be held in St. Kitts, during the Independence weekend.
The proposed schedule is as follows:
Thursday 15th September-Teams arrive
Friday 16th September-Match day
Saturday 17th September-Match day
Sunday 18th September –Match day-semifinals and Finals
Monday 19th September-Independence day-Teams leave
Member territories are kindly asked to take note of the proposed date of the tournament and can also give feedback, indicating their concerns and suggestions, as we prepare to make this year’s tournament, the best one ever.
