Immediately following the conclusion of the very exciting 2021 editions of the Luther Kelly over 35’s tournament, on Sunday 24th October, an impressive closing ceremony ensued.
The ceremony was ably chaired by Clement MONARCH O’Garro and the pronouncements of the top awardees were made by Director of Sports, Chares Morton.
Special awards were presented to three individuals from St. Kitts and three from Nevis, for their service and dedication to the tournament.
St. Kitts: Alphonso Hendrickson, Morris Dickson and Sheldon.
Nevis: Wendell Wallace, Carl Tuckett and Sylvester Pemberton, as the biggest supportive fan.
The top awardees were named as follows:
Most wickets: Shane Jeffers -6 wickets for 20 runs
Most runs: Welton Edwards -67 runs
MVP of the tournament-Calvin Williams
Also, present at the ceremony and delivering brief remarks, was the Minister of Sports, Hon. Jonel Powell.
The patron of the tournament, Luther SHOTGUN Kelly was also on hand.
