Contestants for Culturama 40 to be launched in Charlestown on Friday, June 13, 2014

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Charlestown will come alive on Friday, June 13, 2014 for the official launch of the Culturama 40 contestants.

With some 41 days away from ‘de Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Lime!’ Executive Director, Mr. Antonio Liburd has indicated that there will be a massive launch of the contestants tomorrow at the front of the A. L. Evelyn Building in Charlestown from 4:30 p.m.

A total of 16 contestants will be introduced to the general public. These contestants will be taking part in the various pageants for Culturama 2014. The three pageants are: Ms Culture Swimwear, Mr. Kool and Ms. Culture Queen Pageant.

Mr. Liburd explained that these 16 contestants do not include the participants for the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth Pageant. According to him, the students are currently engaged in writing their exams for Test of Standards and as a result the participants will not be a part of the launch.

He further highlighted that six (6) contestants will compete in the Miss Culture Queen Pageant; five (5) for the Swimwear Pageant; and the Mr. Kool Contests will also see five (5) contestants.

Mr. Liburd proudly stated that plans for Culturama 40 are at an advanced stage. According to him the planning for the festival is running smoothly and members of the different committees are working hard to ensure that they deliver a quality 2014, C40.

Culturama will run from July 24 to August 5, 2014 under the theme, ‘Revelry! Splendor! Creativity! It’s Culturama 40!
