(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The annual house pageant of the Charlestown Secondary School is scheduled to take place this Saturday, March 22, 2014. Over the years this pageant has always attracted beautiful and talented teenagers, now in its 20th year of existence, this year is no different.
The pressure is now on for the Green House contestant who will be participating in the Miss CSS House Pageant Show 2014; since Hamilton House, Green House was victorious at the school’s annual sports meet held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Subsequently to the meet, it was bantered around that Green House was also destined to win the CSS House Pageant as it did last year.
As time draws nigh the excitement is on and all contestants are confident that they would do extremely well on the night of the pageant, which is scheduled to take place at the Nevis Cultural Complex.
Four contestants representing the Houses and colours will be competing in four judged segments on Saturday night.
The four (4) judged segments are:
• Promotional Speech
• Sports Profile
• Talent
• Prom Wear
This year the females will not be sharing the stage with male contestants as in previous years. However, coordinators of the pageant are still anticipating a great show.
The contestants are:
• Representing Bridgewater House, Gold House: Gavincia Griffin
• Representing Foxes House, Blue House: Tarrencia Nisbett
• Representing Huggins House, Red House: Anastasia Cush
• Representing Hamilton House, Green House: Zarina Alcendor
The reigning champions are Melisa Gumbs and Sencio Williams of Hamilton House, Green House. Gumbs wished all the contestants well but she hopes that Green House would be able to win the title again for two consecutive years.
The show is slated to begin at 8:00 p.m. sharp.
