The FIFA Football in the Schools training course concluded on Tuesday 30th April at the Nevis Athletic Stadium. Local football coaches underwent two days of intensive training, led by Mr. Antonio Sanchez, FIFA Football for Schools Manager. The course included both theoretical work and practical sessions at the beach and the stadium, where trainees demonstrated what they had learned in the classroom.
On the final day, around one hundred children from various primary schools across the island participated in drills led by the newly trained coaches. The exercises included simulation matches. Before this, the coaches were tested on their knowledge in the classroom.
Successful coaches were presented with certificates, and Mr. Sanchez presented gift tokens to Atiba Harris, President of the SKNFA, and Ms. Zahnela Claxton, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports.
