Clarification Regarding Recent Press Release and Subsequent Communication

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts  – The Royal St. Christopher-Nevis Police Force wants to address a recent incident concerning the unintentional release of internal correspondence. On August 12, 2024, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) issued a press release to introduce the newly appointed Acting Force Personnel Officer to the public.

However, an internal response from the Personnel Officer, which was not meant for public dissemination, was mistakenly sent to all media houses.

We acknowledge that this mistake has led to the perception of a conflict between the DCP and the Personnel Officer. We want to clarify that there is no conflict between the DCP and the Personnel Officer.

The miscommunication was purely administrative and does not indicate any discord within the leadership of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

The Force remains committed to maintaining professional standards and transparent communication with the media and the public.

We apologize for any confusion caused and appreciate your understanding as we strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity and clarity in our communications.
