A kit containing Cricket gear, was officially handed over to the Cecely Browne Integrated School (CBIS), on Thursday 19th November.
Making the presentation was Leeward Islands Territorial Development Officer, Mr. Junie Mitchum.
He stated that the handing over of the kit was in keeping with the WICB/Scotia Bank Cricket program’s stated goal of ensuring that every child has an opportunity to play the game of cricket and thus develop a love for the game.
Also addressing the gathering, was Ms Ebony Harp, Scotia Bank’s Branch manager in Nevis. She noted that Scotia Bank continues to honour its cooperate responsibility to the community and stated that the institution will continue in its quest to ensure the positive development of the children.
She also congratulated Mr. Mitchum for his role in organizing the handing over ceremony.
She then handed over the kit to the school’s representatives.
Accepting the gift on behalf of the school, was Teacher Ms Marcia Rawlins and students Makala Rouse and Osaffo Edwards.
The kit contains two sets of stumps; two bats; six balls and two tees.
