Budget Boost Wallet A Game Changer For All — Small Businesses Included!

Basseterre, St. Kitts (PMO)– The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is proud to announce the successful implementation of the Budget Boost Wallet (BBW), an innovative initiative designed to alleviate financial burdens on citizens while simultaneously stimulating local commerce. Since its launch, over 20,000 individuals have successfully registered, reflecting widespread public endorsement.

Notably, the BBW extends its benefits to small businesses, ensuring that economic advantages permeate all levels of society.

Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew

Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, during the recent Round Table discussion, emphasised the BBW’s dual role in providing immediate financial relief to households and fostering economic activity among small enterprises. He stated, “This initiative ensures that the support reaches not just major supermarkets but also small community shops, farmers, and service providers. Everyone can participate, from the corner shop in St. Paul’s to the small farmer in Conaree. This is about building resilience within our economy.”

The BBW operates through JAD, a locally developed digital wallet system, in partnership with St. Kitts Nevis and Anguilla National Bank. This collaboration guarantees secure and efficient transactions fully integrated within the local financial ecosystem.

The Budget Boost Wallet remains open for registration, and businesses are encouraged to enroll as vendors to capitalise on increased consumer spending. This initiative exemplifies the government’s commitment to economic resilience and inclusive growth.
