The Charlestown Primary School held its annual sports meet at the ET Willet Park under the distinguished patronage of the immaculately dressed Roland Myers, former top athlete at the school.
The three houses competed fiercely for supremacy with the athletes being fully aware that not only were they giving their various houses critical points but that they were also making an impression towards selection to the prestigious inter primary squad.
When the dust cleared, the results immediately available were:
Blue house—310 points
Red house—285 points
Green house—245 points
Sports Mistress Carol Ward has since indicated that the results will be reassessed and fully confirmed on Thursday and the announcement of the outstanding athletes will be made.
