Two exciting encounters were played at the ET Willett Park on the evening of Sunday 11th December, as the local Football league, hosted by Nevis Football Association, continued.
In match one, Bath United edged out the determined Youths of the future with a score line of 1 goal to nil.
The final moments of the game had the youth team’s supporters screaming in anticipation, then anguish, as the Youths pressed desperately to equalize and bubbled a couple of golden opportunities to do so.
In the feature match of the evening, the yet undefeated SL Horsfords Highlights were kept to a draw versus the exciting Hard Times team.
A corner kick by Jevon Hendrickson of Hard Times had the crowd in awe, as it sailed over the head of Highlights’ goalie PAS, and the net shook and some persons started to celebrate but it had struck outside of the net.
Later both goalies had to pull off some fantastic saves as both teams pressed for a goal.
In the end, the two teams had to settle for an honourable draw—nil- all, at the final whistle.
