Mr. Pheon Jones, Marketing officer at the Bank of Nevis, on Wednesday 24th May, handed over a cheques to the Nevis Masters team, as they prepared to go over to St. Thomas for the 2017 edition of the Leeward Islands Masters cricket tournament.
Mr. Jones noted that although Nevis lost in the finals last year, he was confident that they will return victorious this year.
He stated that such donations are part of the Bank’s stated policy in giving back to the community, whether it be through education, sports etc.
In accepting the cheques, member of the Masters’ team, Curtis Morton, thanked the Bank for its generosity and promised that they would put in maximum efforts in ensuring that the trophy returns to Nevis.
The tournament opened in St. Thomas last evening and the schedule of matches is as follows:
