The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School hosted its annual cross country events on Thursday 10th February.
The Kindergartners started at Big six-bar, ran along the main road; made a left turn by the Gingerland Police Station and ended in the schoolyard to huge cheers.
The girls’ race was particularly interesting, as the lead changed places several times and the winner eventually crossed the line ahead of the second placer, by a toenail!
The boys’ race saw one athlete initially leading, but burnt out to eventually secure third place
At the end of all of the races for the day, the point standings were:
Blue house 262 points
Green 248
Red 248
