Sheilagh James is happy about the way the annual half-island relay walk was coordinated.
As one of the main coordinators of the event, she recently took time out to thank all of the sponsors of the event and all of the volunteers, individuals and the wide variety of entities who helped to make the day a success.
She noted that initially, some persons were a bit skeptical to participate, due to the ongoing covid-19 crisis.
However, eventually, over 120 persons completed the walk, recognizing the value of exercise, to their overall health and wellbeing.
Quite a number of attractive prizes were awarded to persons who excelled on the day
These included: A pedicure, complete sports massage, gym membership with towel brand, two pairs of sneakers, studio photo time with REFIC and a sanitizing unit
Ms. James took time out to thank Sherry’s Beauty World, Phenomenal Wellness Spa, REFIC studio, Sports Zone, Fit Wellness Center, Breaking Barriers gym and Turtle Time, all of who sponsored special prizes.
She also thanked the Ministry of Health, all of the volunteers, the Health Promotions Unit, the Youth and Sports Department, the Nevis Red Cross and the Police.
She is adamant that next year will be even bigger and better and is urging potential sponsors to start getting on board, even now.
