On Friday 17th November, the Gingerland Secondary School held its annual cross-country events.
The junior boys commenced at the school’s main gate, ran along the main road, made a right turn next to Brino’s shop, through Hardtimes, up sixteen acres, past the late Hannah Allen’s residence, left turn through Old Manor, onto the main road and back to the school.
Justin Williams looked good in the lead for an extended period, but he was hotly pursued by Shandon Burton, who eventually secured the lead, through Old Manor.
Justin Williams did not have enough gas in the tank to catch up and was forced to settle for an honourable second place, just five seconds behind Shandon.
