The Maude Cross Preparatory School held its annual sports meet on Wednesday, March 12th, at the Nevis Athletic Stadium, in front of a sizable crowd.
The distinguished guests included past educators of the school, Mrs Marcia Walwyn and Ms Cherry-Anne Walwyn, who were both elegantly dressed in matching outfits.
Following an impressive march past, a moment of silence was observed in honour of the late Hastings Daniel and Berley Walwyn, both of whom passed away earlier this year and made significant contributions to the school’s welfare.
The children then competed in various events, including the 400, 800, 300, 150, 200, 1200, and 100 meters, as well as the 4×100 and 4×200 meters relays.
When the competition concluded, Red House emerged as the champion.

– Red House: 318 points (Champions)
– Green House: 257 points
– Gold House: 251 points
