Thursday 26th October will be a day long remembered by the seniors on Nevis and also for the sizeable crowd that witnessed their much-anticipated sports meet.
The exciting meet was held under the distinguished patronage of Ms. Delores Peetes, at the ET Willet Park.
It commenced with an enthralling dance past, which featured the senior athletes waltzing to the sound of string band music.
Also joining them were Hon. Janel Nisbett; Hon. Eric Evelyn and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health. Shelissa Martin-Clarke
The athletes represented three houses: Pink Panthers, Blue Magic and Lilac Warriors
They competed in events such as Lime and spoon, thread the needle, find the word, pulling on the shirt, hitting the ball the furthest, bean bag throw, relays, speed walking, sprints, water on the head, taking the bundle of wood and dancing with the ball.
There was a special showdown in the Lime and Spoon race, between Hon. Eric Evelyn and Hon. Janel Nisbett.
That race was won by Hon. Evelyn.

Winner-Team Pink Panthers -70 points
2nd place- Team Blue Magic- 50 points
3rd place Team Lilac Warriors-47 points
