On Friday 1st April, the Charlestown Secondary school, hosted its cross country events.
The senior girls and junior girls commenced the race together, even though the junior girls took a slightly shorter route overall.
They commenced on the school’s drive, and went through Stoney Grove, through Bath Village and back to the school.
Senior girls’ champion, Jonnicia Williams, initially struggled, as she complained of chest pains, but with encouragement from her mom, well known long-distance runner on Nevis, Vanessa Williams, she eventually crossed the finish line in the first place.
Meanwhile, Tyiesha Taylor, took the honours for the junior girls.
