The yellow Honey Bees were the champions at the Cecely Browne Integrated School (CBIS) annual sports meet, which took place at the Nevis Athletic Stadium on Thursday, March 6th. The honoured patron for the event was Mr Courtney Bryant, a former parent of the school.
The Honey Bees dominated the competition, amassing 224 points to secure first place, while the Blue Blueberries finished in a distant second with 143 points.
Athletes participated in a variety of events, including the 200 meters, ball and bucket race, hurdles, hoops, “late for school” T-shirt race, “late for school” shoe race, as well as the 50 meters, 100 meters, 2×100 open relay, and 4×100 open relay.
A moment of silence was held in memory of Ms. Sharon Hamilton, a long-serving teacher at the school who recently passed away.
Overall, the meet was both entertaining and highly competitive.
