According to the chief coordinator of the event, Ms. Sheilagh James, all is in place for the half-island road relay, which is sponsored in the main by First Federal Credit Union.
The event takes place tomorrow, Saturday, 25th March, commencing at 6 am.
The route commences at Brick Kiln village, with the first baton pass off at Esmie’s bar in Butlers; then to Fothergills; then to Market Shop; then to Brown Hill gap and conclude at the Fit Park.
The nine competing teams are TC Motors; Beast Fit; IT; NEVLEC (2 teams); Hospital (2 teams); Defence Force and Easterns.
The general public is being asked to come out and support the athletes, even if it is just to stand by their gates and wave them on.
