The highly anticipated Ginseng Up High Schools Classics is scheduled for this coming Sunday, February 25th. The Ministry of Education and Sports held a press conference on Tuesday to provide details about the event.
The meet will take place at the Nevis Athletic Stadium and is set to begin at 12:30 pm. Admission for adults is $25.00 at the gate, while children 12 years and under will pay $10.00. Inside parking will cost $40.00 per vehicle.
A special promotion is also available on Friday, February 23rd, where tickets will be sold for only $20.00 for adults. The first 24 individuals to purchase tickets from either the Sports Department or the Education Department will receive a complimentary Ginseng-up.
Some of the top secondary schools in the federation will compete against each other in track events such as the 100 and 400 meters, hurdles, distance races, and relays. The schools participating in the event are Washington Archibald, Basseterre High, Verchilds High, Charles E. Mills Secondary, Saddlers Secondary, Cayon High, Gingerland Secondary, and defending champions Charlestown Secondary.
