The Charlestown Secondary School Lions roared their way to a title defence in the historic Ginseng -up High School classics, held at the Nevis Athletic Stadium, on Sunday 25th February.
The meet was held at the Nevis Athletic stadium, under the distinguished patronage of former Athletic official, Lester Blackett, for the first time and attracted a huge gathering, from both St. Kitts and Nevis.
The seven participating schools were: Charlestown Secondary; Gingerland Secondary; Basseterre High; Verchilds High; Washington Archibald High; Saddlers Secondary and Cayon High. There was also an Exhibition team as well.
The athletes competed in such events as hurdles; 100, 400, 800, 1200, 3000, 4×100 and 4×400 meters relays.

Charlestown Secondary-9 Gold; 11 Silver; 9 Bronze-29
Basseterre High: 7 Gold; 8 Silver; 12 Bronze; -27
Verchilds High: 7 Gold; 6 Silver; 4 Bronze-17
Gingerland Secondary 6 Gold; 9 silver; 5 Bronze-20
Washington Archibald High: 4 Gold; 3 Silver; 7 bronze-14
Saddlers’ Secondary: 4 Gold; 0 Silver; 0 Bronze-4
Exhibition team: 1 Gold; 1 Silver; 1 Bronze- 3
