AMHERST, Mass. – After being named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, Arielle Griffin was tabbed the Corvias ECAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Griffin went undefeated in singles and doubles play last week, extending the Minutewomen’s win streak to four matches.
Against Quinnipiac, Griffin was paired with Aarzoo Malik for an 8-6 No. 1 doubles win against Sophia Dzulynsky and Sydney Young before a three-set win over Michelle Dassa (4-6, 7-5, 6-3) at No. 3 singles.
The sophomore from Jamaica, N.Y., again with Malik, defeated Saint Joseph’s Kristina Eisenbrand and Lauren Roy, 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, then earned a straight-set victory over Kelly Mulquin, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
