The annual Eddy Richards-Caines Football clinic will kick off on the 14th July and conclude on the 25th July.
On Thursday 19th June Eddy Caines took time out to speak about the upcoming program. He noted that this year will be particularly significant, as it will be his tenth year of running the program, which is geared towards teaching the youngsters on the island, the basics in the game of Football.
He had warm words of praise and gratitude for all of the sponsors who have assisted throughout the years, but had special praise for the Hon. Mark Brantley and Mr. Andy Liburd and his company, Multi Line Services for being on board from the very first year to present.
He pointed out that he will be raising funds this year to assist with honouring all of the sponsors. He intends to give each sponsor a plaque of appreciation at the opening ceremony this year.
In this regard, Caines is coordinating a boat ride to St. Maarten next weekend on board the LADY MIGNON at a round trip cost of $550.00 which will include transportation to and from St.Maarten; freight cost and departure tax cost. ‘It’s a package deal,’ he indicated. The boat will leave Nevis during the early hours of June 28th.
