The Department of Community Development’s Annual Camp, REFRESH, at Charlestown Secondary School is focused on educating children about road safety. The camp, themed “A Fun Summer Experience through Shared Learning,” is bringing together children from across the island for two weeks of educational and engaging activities.
A highlight of the camp was a presentation by officers from the Nevis Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force on July 19. They taught the children essential road safety tips, including how to use pedestrian crossings, understand traffic signals, and always wear seatbelts and helmets.
Commissioner of Police Mr James Sutton commended the initiative, stressing the importance of early education on road safety to foster a culture of responsibility and vigilance.
Thanks to everyone involved in making this year’s Camp REFRESH a memorable and educational experience!
