The Human Resource Management Department on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Cooperatives wishes to invite persons to apply for the position of Veterinary Assistant on a full-time basis.
General Purpose of the Veterinary Assistant
The qualified Veterinary Assistant is expected to lend support to the Veterinary Officers in the execution of the functions of the government’s Veterinary Service. This include the treatment of animals, disease surveillance and other ambulatory and regulatory activities.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. To attend animal health cases as directed by the CVO
2. To conduct ante mortem inspections at the abattoir
3. To conduct air and seaport inspection of animal products
4. To carry out sale of veterinary supplies
Qualifications
The candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Animal Health
Experience
The candidate should have no less than 3 years experience in the field
