Tropical Storm Erin, 5 p.m. Saturday

OUTLOOK: After downgrading into a tropical depression on Friday, Erin re-intensified into a tropical storm overnight. The system still is expected to fizzle in the Atlantic over the next few days without threatening land.

Meanwhile, the disturbance in the southern Gulf of Mexico remains disorganized. It’s aiming generally west with a possible landfall on the mainland of Mexico by early next week.
