Traffic Department Vehicle Check Point Operation Update

On November 1, 2024, the Traffic Department conducted a series of vehicle checkpoints along FT Williams Highway, Wellington Road, and Camps Main Road. These operations aimed to promote road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.

A total of 29 traffic tickets were issued for various infractions, including:

– 9 tickets for driving at night with only one functional headlamp
– 3 tickets for driving with dark-tinted windows
– 3 tickets for having a front windshield tinted beyond the permissible limit of 10 inches
– 1 ticket for driving without a front identification mark
– 1 ticket for not wearing a seatbelt
– 2 tickets for failing to produce a driver’s license upon request
– 3 tickets for unauthorised use of additional lights
– 2 tickets for driving without appropriate headgear
– 1 ticket for failing to display a license sticker
– 2 tickets for operating an unlicensed vehicle
– 1 ticket for driving while using a cellphone
– 1 ticket for failing to comply with traffic signs
