CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, August 8, 2024. On August 7, 2024, at a sitting of the Charlestown Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honor Mr Reynold Benjamin, the following convictions and sentences were handed down:
1. Joseph Richards of Burden Pasture was convicted and fined $500, in one month or 14 days imprisonment in default, for driving without due care and attention.
2. Morgan Davis of Cotton Ground was convicted and fined $500 forthwith for driving without due care and attention, he will serve 1 month of imprisonment in default. He was also fined $1,000 for driving without insurance or 2 months imprisonment in default, and $750 for driving without an appropriate license or 1-month imprisonment in default.
3. Karney Skeete Jr. of Jessup’s was convicted and fined $700 forthwith for permitting another person to drive without insurance, in default he will serve 21 days imprisonment.
4. Terrone Nisbett of Jessup’s was convicted and fined $750 forthwith for altering a license plate number. In default, he will serve 1-month imprisonment. He was also fined $500 for driving without a valid license and $1,000 for driving without insurance. In default, he will serve 2 months imprisonment.
