CHARLESTOWN, Nevis: At a sitting of the Charlestown Magistrate Court on July 30, 2024, presided over by His Honor Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following persons were convicted and fined for various traffic violations:
1. Jaaliq Liburd of Low Street was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid forthwith for driving without insurance. In default of payment, he will face one (1) month of imprisonment. Additionally, he was convicted and fined $1,000.00 to be paid forthwith for driving without a valid driver’s licence, with a default penalty of two (2) months imprisonment.
2. Rohan Hutton of Central Alley, Gingerland, was convicted and fined $500.00, payable within 14 days, for permitting another person to drive his vehicle without insurance. Failure to pay will result in one (1) month of imprisonment.
3. Marlon Grant of Cane Garden was convicted and fined $750.00, payable within one (1) month, for driving an unlicensed vehicle. In default of payment, he will serve 21 days of imprisonment.
