NAA chief on Nevis, Lester Blackett, earlier this week stated that all is pretty much on course for the grand annual Inter Primary School sports meet.
The meet will be held on Wednesday 3rd April beginning at 12.00 noon with the usual opening ceremony, with the actual races scheduled to commence at 1.00 pm.
Unlike last year which was a special celebration, the event will be conducted on just the one day. Blackett noted that the meetings are currently being held with the various stake holders and the details are being fine tuned.
The Patron for the prestigious event will this year represent the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School but he stopped short in revealing the name, as he noted that the formal announcement will be made at the upcoming press conference slated for Wednesday 27th March. That press conference will most likely be held at the Red Cross headquarters located at Chapel Street in Charlestown.
Blackett is convinced that the meet this year will be particularly exciting as based on the recently held sports meets of the competing school, all of the schools have a chance to excel.
The Gulf Insurance Company maintains its long lasting sponsorship but this year the figure has dropped to $35,000.00.
