“The Force needs you more than ever”, says Inspector Dickenson

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 09, 2015 (RSCNPF): During brief remarks of encouragement and words of wisdom by the Deputy Commandant of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Training School, Inspector Eldrin Dickenson, he informed the new recruits that they are crucial to the success and longevity of the Force and they are indeed needed.

“I trust and hope that all 32 of you will be successful in the next six (6) months for graduation. The force needs you more than ever.”

Inspector Dickenson made this statement at the opening ceremony of the training period for the recruits of class ‘40’ at the police training compound, on Monday November 9th, 2015.

The Inspector went on by giving words of advice and encouragement to the recruits.

“You must have a vision as to where we need to go. You need to listen attentively. You must show people that we care about their needs. You must be honest with your dealings and have no double standards. You must be accountable for your actions and decisions. You must be transparent in your operations. … We the instructors in this academy are given the opportunity to provide highly skilled physically alert and reliable police officers to serve the citizens and visitors of the Federation.”

In attendance were: the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of National Security, Mr. Osmond Petty, (ag) Commissioner of Police, Mr. Stafford Liburd, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ian Queeley and Force Personnel Officer, Mr. Clifford Govia.

Class ‘40’ comprises of 21 males and 11 females.
