Charlestown, Nevis -Ten distinguished sons and daughters of Nevis, were specially celebrated on Independence Day, Thursday 19th September. The ten individuals received awards for their outstanding service to the country.
The awards were presented at the annual Independence Day parade, which was held at the ET Willet Park.The ten individuals were:

The awards were presented by Her Honour, Mrs. Hyleta Liburd.
The usual impressive march past of uniformed and non-uniformed bodies, as per usual, served to excite the sizable crowd.
Premier of Nevis, Hon. Mark Brantley also addressed the gathering.
