The SKN Moves Nevis Chapter hosted its first big event of the year, on Sunday 29th January.
Some six teams competed for the grand trophy, sponsored by the Legal firm of Mr. Ricaldo Caines and also for bragging rights.
The route commenced on the Samuel Hunkins Drive, right next to the TDC car park and the bikers raced down the drive, made a right turn by the Roman Catholic Church, stayed on the main road and made another right turn by the Sir Simeon Daniel bust and then entered the TDC car park area, to complete each lap.
The females were given a one-minute head start and unlike the males, who had to complete four laps, they just had to complete three laps.
In the final moments of the race, there was an intense battle between the Information Technology team and the Pacesetters, with the IT team just crossing the finish line, seconds ahead of the pacesetters.
Final results:
1st Information Technology
2nd Pacesetters
3rd Le Bron stars
4th TDC group
5th Basketball Girls
6th Red Cross
On hand to assist in delivering medals and prizes, was the Minister of Health in the Nevis Island Administration, Hon. Jahnel Nisbett and Asst. Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ms. Latoya Jeffers.
