Sunrise Airways announced plans to add three new Eastern Caribbean destinations to its route network, launching flights to Grenada, St Vincent, and Tortola starting late October 2024.
The airline’s expansion includes new connections to and from Guadeloupe as part of what the carrier calls its “One Caribbean doctrine” to improve regional connectivity.
“The addition of these new flights marks another big step forward in realising our One Caribbean vision for optimised regional connectivity. We look forward to serving the travelling public in our new destinations and earning their trust,” said Philippe Bayard, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Airways.
The expansion follows the carrier’s entry into Eastern Caribbean markets in May 2024, when it began serving Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts, and St Lucia. “As we got off to a solid start serving Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts, and St Lucia earlier this year, we’re optimistic about the prospects for future growth and success across the broader Eastern Caribbean,” Bayard said.
The rollout will occur in three phases. Phase I begins October 27, 2024, with thrice-weekly flights to Grenada and four-times-weekly service to Guadeloupe and St Vincent. All flights will originate from Antigua, with connections available to Dominica, St Kitts, and St Lucia.
Phase II launches December 2, 2024, introducing twice-weekly flights to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, originating in Antigua, with continuing service to Santo Domingo. Connections will be available for passengers from Dominica and St Kitts.
The final phase starts December 4, 2024, with twice-weekly nonstop flights connecting Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.
