Cotton Ground –Nevis- The 2018 edition of the St. Thomas’ Parish festival, otherwise referred to as St. Thomas’ Fest, is well and truly on the way.
It all commenced on the morning of Sunday 9th September, with a church service at the Cotton Ground Wesleyan Holiness church.
Members of the organizing committee worshipped with the members of the church on that day.
That same evening, at the main festival site, located at the St. Thomas’ Primary School, a dynamic Gospel concert was held, which was ably chaired by Mrs. Sheila Hanley.
The concert featured quite a number of top acts from the St. Thomas’ Parish but also featured guest artistes from St. Kitts and the Restoration band.
The remainder of the planned activities is as follows:
Thursday 13th September-Cocktail and official opening ceremony at the Jessups Community center at 7 pm
Saturday 15th September-Barnes Ghaut/Sir Simeon Daniel day, at Barnes Ghaut Village from 3 to 6 pm
Calypso show/Mr. Physique at the St. Thomas’ Primary School at 8 pm
Monday 17th September-J’ouvert from 6 am with the Kore Band
Cool down at Pinneys Park at 12.00 noon
Tuesday 18th September-Queen Show/fashion show at St. Thomas’ Primary School at 8 pm
Wednesday 19th September-St. Thomas’ festival fun day with the Kore band at Pinneys Park, starting at 10 am
The general public is cordially invited to the activities which is coordinated by the Community Development Department.
