After the match Coach of Bath United Alex Claxton praised his team for sticking to the gameplan.
“I want to congratulate the team for sticking with the game plan. Everybody was in on what we talked about in terms of defensively, trying to stay as compact as possible. Apply pressure on the ball, making sure we closed down the spaces behind,” Claxton said.
In the night’s other match, SOL IAS Conaree FC and MFCR Old Road United Jets played to a 0-0 draw. Coach Conaree Al Richards said his team needs to work on their finishing as they had three chances to score in the second half, each hitting the post and crossbar. “I think it was a fair result for both teams. I thought my team in particular had a good game. We just didn’t execute on the back end. This is our second game and we didn’t score. I think we are creating the chances but we just not scoring,” he lamented.
