St Maarten-based regional airline Winair is launching service to a new destination: the Dominican Republic.
Beginning July 7, Winair will be operating service to Santo Domingo, the country’s capital.
Initially, Winair will be operating the service twice weekly, with roundtrip flights on both Thursdays and Saturdays, according to the company’s Web site.
The flights between Princess Juliana International Airport and Santo Domingo’s Las Americas Airport take a little over an hour.
It’s part of a broader summer expansion for Winair, which earlier this month ramped up its service to St Maarten’s neighboring islands of Saba and Statia.
