The selection of Jahzara Claxon to the West Indies U-19 female team is a worthy accomplishment and a sign of hard work by the player and the St. Kitts Cricket Association.
So says the president of the association, Mr. Dennis Phillip.
Phillip traced the efforts of Jahzara to excel in cricket, to as far back as age 9 in Primary School.
He noted that quite a number of local coaches would have assisted her along the way.
He noted that his Association has put a special program in place for female cricketers and that, along with the assistance of her coaches and the hard work put in by Jahzara, has reaped success for her.
He acknowledged the fact that she is also a national Footballer, but is happy that she has focused on her cricket at this time.
