St Kitts and Nevis has achieved its first-half point at the 45th Chess Olympiad, held in Budapest, Hungary.

In Round 3 of the competition, Mia Sahely secured a crucial draw against Bahrain’s board 4 player.

The 45th Chess Olympiad, organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), is taking place in Budapest from September 10 to 23, 2024.

This event is notable as it is the first Chess Olympiad hosted in Hungary since Budapest was the venue for the 2nd unofficial Chess Olympiad in 1926.

The Chess Olympiad, often dubbed the “Olympics of Chess,” is a prestigious biennial tournament where teams from across the globe come together to compete in this intellectual sport.
