Nevispages.com Charlestown, Nevis (October 1, 2019): Celian “Martin” Powell who celebrated her 107th birthday on January 19, 2019, has died.
Nevispages has learnt that Ms. Powell, the Federation’s oldest citizen passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019.
Celian “Martin” Powell, originally of Zion Village, Gingerland, was born on January 19, 1912. She was a resident of the Flamboyant Nursing Home.
Ms. Powell is the grandmother of the former Junior Minister in the Nevis Island Administration, Carlisle Powell; and the great grandmother of Nevisian and West Indian cricketer, Kieran Powell.
