Deputy Director at the Department of Sports on Nevis, Brian Dowe, has set a tentative starting date for the now annual tape ball tournament to be hosted by his department.
The tournament which was commenced last year, attracted fair sized and enthusiastic crowds to the ET Willet Park and Dowe is hoping for similar support this year.
A tentative starting date has been set for Sunday 29th September.
However, at a meeting called for Monday 2nd September, only two of the eight teams expected to participate this year, showed up.
According to Dowe, he will meet with his executive committee and then try for another meeting with the teams, sometime next week.
Once everything goes as planned, the tournament will more than likely commence on the set date.
