(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The Sports Club referred to simply as S.P.A.C.E an acronym which stands for St.Paul’s Area Competitive Eagles made a special visit to the Flambuoyant Senior Citizens Home on Sunday, June 21, Father’s Day.
Miss Nicola Fraser, the spokesperson for the group explained that the group has been involved in several community projects since its formation and that on the significant day, they had visited the home to make a special presentation to Mr. Shawn Daniel who is not a senior in terms of age, but who has been warded at the home since he suffered a debilitating illness, several years ago.
She told him that he was in the thoughts of the members of the group and that they were praying for him.
Mr. Garrick Hunkins, in presenting the gift basket, told Mr. Daniel that the group members appreciated his contributions to the Nevisian society and just wanted to show their appreciation.
Mr. Daniel who has a speech impairment, managed to say thanks in his own unique way.
Other members of the group were also present despite the rainy outlook of the afternoon.
Also present, were three of Mr. Daniel’s children who were there to show solidarity and support to their father.
