A post on the SKN Athletics Facebook page indicates that the Association is proud of the representation provided by the athletes from St. Kitts and Nevis at the recently concluded 2022 CARIFTA games, held in Jamaica.
The post reads:
“The curtains have come to a close for CARIFTA 49 held April 16th -18th in Jamaica. SKN Athletics is proud of all of the athletes who participated and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors. Several of the athletes participating earned personal bests and improved their performances throughout. The highlight of our performance were the two bronze medals captured and the fourth place earned by our U17 4 x 400m relay team.
This is a commendable feat considering that our athletes have not participated in major competitions and games since 2019.
SKN Athletics anxiously prepares for the upcoming track and field season where our athletes can return to competitions and meets. Until then, let us all continue to rally behind our athletes in support of the development of track and field in St Kitts and Nevis.
We take this opportunity to thank our sponsors:
-First Federal Credit Union
-Nevis Island Administration
-Carambola Beach Club
-Government of St Kitts and Nevis.”
