Saneldo Willet, daughter of the legendary Elquemedo Willet is the lone Nevisian in the Leeward Islands female Cricket team which has gone off to Jamaica to participate in the regional West Indies women’s cricket tournament which will be held shortly.
Willet captained one of the trial teams during the practice games, held in Antigua recently and in her last two outings versus an Antigua under 15 male team, scored 43 and 23 respectively.
She was also consistently among the wickets, during the trial matches played.
Although the full team was not immediately available, it is understood that two Kittitians have also been included in the team.
It is hoped that the Leewards team will fare much better than they did last year and would certainly give a good account of itself in Jamaica.
