Basseterre, St. Kitts (November 14, 2013) — Dr Norgen Wilson Soho United FC is in no comprising mood as they make a dash for the Caribbean National Insurance Ltd Sandy Point Community Football League title, by mercilessly mowing down their opponents.
On Wednesday November 13 the team pumped in six goals against a hapless Fig Tree Dirt Revellers FC in a game refereed by Stuart Versailles. Their opponent could only manage a solitary goal in consolation.
The mad rush for goals started in the 12th minute when Ikejah Rogers drew the first blood. It inspired his team mates Jason Rogers (23rd minute), Akeem Saunders (29th and 43rd minutes), Jared Sutton (47th minute) and Devonte Browne (56th minute) to seal the humiliation. Kurt Drew of Fig Tree Dirt Revellers FC scored a goal in the 40th minute.
If that was not bad enough, Dr Norgen Wilson Soho United FC had on Thursday November 7 done a worse damage to Cleverly Hill United FC, whom they had beaten 8-3, in an action packed game that had been refereed by Florentine Morton.
Scorers for the winners were Kenny Douglas (10th minute), Jason Rogers (17th and 24th minutes), Akeem Saunders (28th minutes), Ikjah Rogers (38th minute), Quan Demming (48th and 53rd minutes), and Devonte Browne (61st minute).
Cleverly Hill United FC put up face by striking the Dr Norgen Wilson Soho United FC’s net thrice through Lenford Percival in the 22nd and 35th minutes and Amarr Burjin in the 45th minute.
Other results are Transformation FC who scraped through by beating Cleverly Hill United FC 5-4 in a tight game refereed by Stedroy Douglas on Tuesday November 12.
Scorers for Transformation FC were Jamal Sutton (12th and 29th minutes), Jason Jones (37th minute, Javior Sutton (48th minute) and Rashawn Marshall (58th minute). For Cleverly Hill United FC Curtis Pemberton scored a hat trick with goals in the 23rd, 35th and 45th minutes, while Dorrell Challenger slammed in a goal in the 52nd minute.
Two games were played on Sunday November 10, and both were refereed by Royston Richardson. In the first game Newton Ground FC beat Crab Hill United FC 2-1, while the second game saw Sandy Point Future Ballers FC draw 1-1 with Alley United FC.
In the first game, scorers for Newton Ground were Patrick Jeffers (11th minute) and Ian Phillip (49th minute), while in reply Gregory ‘Youthy’ Bradshaw scored in the 32nd minute. The drawn game went into a penalty shootout where Alley United FC hit 5 goals against Sandy Point Future Ballers FC 4 goals.
In earlier mid-week games played on Tuesday November 5, Unique Touch FC beat Transformation FC 3-2, in a game refereed by Stuart Versailles, while on Wednesday November 6, in a game refereed by Stedroy Douglas, Half Way Tree FC beat Fig Tree Dirt Reveller FC 4-1.
